News Radio 600 Adds Darren Smith to KOGO Weekday Line-up

SAN DIEGO, CA – Effective Monday, August 19, 2019, Not Sports with Darren Smith and Jack Cronin will debut weekday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on News Radio 600 KOGO.

Smith currently hosts the popular Darren Smith Show, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., on XTRA 1360 and now joins the line-up on iHeart San Diego powerhouse News Radio 600 KOGO, alongside Cronin, co-host of San Diego’s Evening News.

Smith has been a prominent voice in San Diego sports radio since 2004. For the past 15 years, Darren has delivered sports fans with a unique opinion, topical interviews and breaking news coverage.

“When Darren chose to join us at iHeart Media San Diego, it was clear that he was an exceptional talent with something to say on a variety of issues both inside and outside of the world of sports,” said KOGO and XTRA 1360 Program Director Brian Long. “This is an exciting opportunity for KOGO listeners to experience a new voice and perspective on the station.”

As long as they do not take Ladona, Ted Garcia and Chris Merrill away from me I will be fine.

I do love Sully in the mornings and he is so smart about finance and does a good job of explaining the complicated mess but I also miss George Chamberlin and I know he has a giant fan club.

I did not find him on Sunday and wondered if you would consider doing an in-depth interview with George. I would love to hear his take on our current leader--if he is allowed to say it--and his personal thoughts about how he is doing and life , in general. I would like to know why he chose radio over the traditional financial role and if he is glad--he certainly has a gift for chat and also for explaining finance.

Always listening to the radio--basically KOGO--love your blog.
