SanDiegoRadio is Moving

By Joe Nelson

SanDiegoRadio is moving! In an effort to broaden my scope of work, SDR is relocating to a new page, under a new name. Best of all, it will be powered by Wordpress, that will allow me to do so much more.

My previous platform, this one, discontinued their mobile app a year ago and I have been severely hamstrung. I couldn't do anything if something happened while I was not near my laptop.

The future looks to be great and I am excited about the possibilities. For more on that, head on over to - It's LIVE now as a bit of a 'soft open'.

These last several years have been fun, I am excited to move forward!

Thanks for tuning in.... see you on the other side! Joe

Don Imus Passes Away

By Joe Nelson

Legendary, and often controversial radio 'shock jock' host Don Imus has passed away. Imus announced that he was 'turning out the lights, the party's over' in January 2018.

March 29, 2018 marked his last show with Cumulus Media. Imus was 79.

Imus drew the ire of many in 2007 for directing racial slurs toward the Rutger's University Women's Basketball team. That led to him being fired from CBS. He leaves behind his wife Deirdre and 6 children.

By Joe Nelson

Sunday El Cajon held its annual Mother Goose Parade. Always held the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the parade was loaded with local celebrities, animals, balloons and members of the local media.

2019 marked the 73rd annual tradition and SanDiegoRadio was on hand from pre-parade festivities to the last float featuring Santa Claus himself.

Before the parade, the Marriott on Magnolia hosted a meet and greet of the parade dignitaries.
