Fred Saxon, long time KUSI entertainment reporter has passed away. Initial reports point to a heart attack as being the cause.

Paul Menard aka Irving Harrigan of "Charlie & Harrigan" passes

(SAN DIEGO, CA – September 25, 2018) It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of a great radio icon, Paul Menard. Menard, best known for his role as Irving Harrigan of the National Radio Hall of Fame morning team show, Charlie & Harrigan, was 81 years old. 
He passed peacefully in a North County San Diego hospital on Tuesday September 25th. Paul Menard was a popular morning disc jockey on KOMA-AM in Oklahoma City as Paul Miller before being teamed with Jack Woods in 1965 at KLIF-AM in Dallas as the newly recreated Charlie & Harrigan. 
Together they worked on-air at WKYC in Cleveland, KILT in Houston, KFMB in San Diego, KCBQ in San Diego and WAVA in Washington D.C. Their ‘Charlie & Harrigan Presents’ syndicated morning show was heard daily in 53 markets, simultaneously, across the country. Sad News to Report

Sad news out of Texas. David Davis, longtime KUSI anchor has passed away. David was recently retired and was on a road trip, his travels were prominent on his Facebook page.

SanDiegoRadio sends their condolences to David's family, as well as to his KUSI family.

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — KUSI News has learned Wednesday evening that longtime KUSI anchor and reporter David Davis has passed away.

He is survived by his two children and his wife Staci Ortiz-Davis, who has appeared alongside David many times here at KUSI.

David Davis joined the KUSI News team in January 2003 . He retired earlier this year.

He died in a traffic accident near Dallas, while on a cross-country road trip.

He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a degree in Communications, and anchored for four states across the United States.

He received many awards for his work, including spot news coverage of the Jeffrey Dahmer capture, and week-long 9/11 reports from …

NBC San Diego Names New Meteorologist

San Diego, CA  – NBC 7 San Diego / KNSD has named Sheena Parveen weekday morning and midday news meteorologist. Parveen will forecast San Diego’s weather on NBC 7 News Today 4:30 AM – 7:00 AM and on NBC 7 News Midday 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday through Friday. Parveen will make her on-air debut on Wednesday, October 17th alongside NBC 7 Anchors Marianne Kushi and Greg Bledsoe.

Parveen joins NBC 7 from sister NBC station WRC in Washington, D.C. where she served as their weekday morning meteorologist. Prior to this, she was the weekday evening meteorologist for another sister NBC station, WCAU, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Parveen started her broadcast meteorology degree in her home state of Florida.
