Cruise for the Cause

XAVIER THE X-MAN’S 16th ANNUAL CRUISE FOR THE CAUSE CAR SHOW THIS SATURDAY
FUNDRAISER FOR EMILIO NARES FOUNDATION ALSO HOSTS BLOOD AND BONE MARROW DRIVE

(San Diego, Ca) – Local radio station MAGIC 92.5 (XHRM-FM) will host the 16th annual "Xavier The X-Man's Cruise for the Cause,” car show this Saturday at SDCCU Stadium from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

The event benefits the Emilio Nares Foundation, a local organization that provides medical transportation and services for children receiving treatments for cancer.

Hundreds of custom and classic cars, trucks, lowrider bicycles and other vehicles will be on display in the southwest parking lot of the stadium.  Additional entertainment includes live music on the Sycuan Stage from The B-Side Players, Funk’s Most Wanted and The Wildside Band, and a free “Kids Zone” with games from Dave & Buster’s, inflatable rides from So Cal Bounce, and crafts from the Rad Hatter.

Xavier The X-Man will broadcast live during the event to encourage the San Diego community to stop by to donate blood to the American Red Cross and register for the National Bone Marrow List.

ENF founder Richard Nares will appear at the event days after finishing his “Heart & Sole Run” that began in Seattle, WA in early June and ended in San Diego.  Nares has run over 1,600 miles down the coast, equivalent to more than a marathon distance every day, 6 days per week, to raise funds and awareness for his organization.

“To think that my idea of organizing a small free car show to help various worthy causes has grown into one of Southern California’s major car events is amazing. I’m humbled by all the support the past 16 years,” said Xavier The X-Man, midday DJ host on Magic 92.5. “My love for the community and passion for cars has turned into a signature event that truly helps children get to their cancer treatments at Rady Children’s Hospital.”
