Z90 Names APD

By Joe Nelson

SAN DIEGO, CA   San Diego’s New #1 Hit Music Station, Z90, announces the elevation of Kat San Andres to Assistant Program Director for the city’s leading CHR media outlet. San Andres, who has been with the station since 2004, adds APD stripes to her current role as Music Director, and will take on added day-to-day and strategic duties, alongside Supreme Commander, R Dub!

San Andres said: “Fourteen years later, I'm still in love with this career! I'm always so thankful and grateful that I decided to take a risk to follow my dreams because it’s lead me to this wonderful adventure! I’m so excited for this opportunity and cannot wait to start this new chapter!”

R Dub! said: “It’s team members behind the spotlight, like Kat San Andres, who are responsible for the incredible success of Z90 and the other brands in this building.

Kat’s relentless work ethic and passion for the business helps propel Z90 forward every day and expanding her role here was overdue. Add to that, she is the Z90 listener, has a great set of ears and is a helluva lot cooler than I’ll ever be! Her help with translating Lil’ Pump records alone is worth the promotion! What’s that guy even saying???”

In other Z90 news, KGTV ABC-10’s Kalyna Astrinos joins Z90 for weekends. This serves as a reunion for Dub! and Astrinos—the two worked together at iHeart Media Los Angeles back in 2009. Kalyna currently reports for KGTV on the weekdays and will call Z90 her home on the weekends.

The San Diego County Fair is Open

By Joe Nelson

Friday marked the opening of the 2018 San Diego County Fair. This year's theme is "How Sweet it is"

As tradition would have it, that night was also the annual Media Party. An opportunity to see fellow members of the local media circles. Also, the chance to sample this year's offerings of fair food and drinks, as well as some rides.

See it all for yourself, along with the great entertainment on the many stages around the fair.
