FM 94/9 LOUD@ ARCTIC MONKEYS PLACES #1 ON NME TOP TEN LIST
TWO TRACKS FIND THEMSELVES ON THE LIST OF ALEX TURNER’S BEST ACOUSTIC MOMENTS
San Diego, CA: San Diego’s #1 Alternative Station, FM 94/9 (KBZT FM) was included twice on NME.com’s list of Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner’s ‘Top 10 Acoustic Moments,’ including the #10 and #1 spot on the list.
The FM 94/9 Loud@ concert series has brought some of the biggest artists in the alternative world to small, intimate, up close environments, and the over 60 year heritage music magazine noticed, including ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High’ as the #10, and ‘Snap Out Of It’ as the #1 acoustic moment for the British rocker, both recorded at San Diego’s Studio West for a 2014 session with station staff and lucky listeners.
“We know FM 94/9 does it best. We love music, and we know how fortunate we are to bring people face to face with some of the biggest artists in the alternative landscape,” said FM 94/9 Music Director, Assistant Program Director and afternoon guy Jeremy Pritchard, “It feels wonderful to have an institution like NME recognize the incredible things we do, and the amazing experiences we get to provide for our listeners, and music fans everywhere.”
Other performance videos and photos from the FM 94/9 Loud@ series, including three acoustic tracks from Arctic Monkeys, can be found on the station website at www.fm949sd.com.
