I'm a little too young to have known Charlie's work from KHJ, but I did listen to him on the powerful K-Earth 101 on weekends since we get that station down here. What a great voice. It's a shame what that station did to him and Christina Kelley last year, but we were lucky to have been able to listen to him on the airwaves when we had him. RIP.
RIP, Charlie. He was a great talent, and there are lots of high quality airchecks of him on reelradio.com from KHJ, KCBQ, KKDJ, WMEX, KIIS-FM, and even KOMA. Pay your $10 and enjoy all those thousands of historical airchecks from all over the USA for 6 months.
There's also a reelradio.com aircheck of him on KROQ-AM on opening day.
Sorry Charlie
