SanDiegoRadio Spotlight - The Radio Edition

February 2016
Steve Kramer
Steve, welcome to San Diego and thanks for your time.

Joe Nelson: What is your current position?
Steve Kramer: Channel 933 Morning Show

JN: How are things with you right now? Life, work…..
SK: Settled is probably a good word. 90% of the moving boxes are unpacked, I can get to the station without a GPS anymore, the studio is starting to feel like home.

JN: Do you have anything you’d like to talk about? Such as stories from radio?
SK: Tons. I always say that radio would be the BEST reality show because of all the crazy characters and situations. I'll share a recent one. When I was in Phoenix, we thought it would be a good idea to send a listener with their grandma to see Magic Mike 2, and then the grandma would call us and give us a review. Joe Little
Joe, thanks for your time!
Joe Nelson: What is your current position/Channel/Shift?
Joe Little: I am a News Reporter at KGTV, 10News in San Diego. At least that’s what they public sees. Inside the industry, I’m a Multimedia Journalist, better known as an MMJ. I work the day shift Monday through Friday.

JN: How are things with you right now? Life, work…..
JL: It took me a while to figure out the balance between life and work. It’s hard to realize there needs to be a balance between the two while realizing you can’t separate the two. I am very close to figuring out that balance but things overall are really good for me.

JN: Do you have anything you’d like to talk about? Such as stories from TV News?
JL: That’s the broadest question. You might as well ask, “What’s up?” But since you left the mic open… I am discouraged by the quality of news being pumped out there these days. Social media has diluted our ability to…
