From Mike Shepard:
I am extremely pleased to announce the addition of two extremely talented pros to the BCA family:
First, please join me in welcoming Dave Mason back to Middays / Assistant PD for MAX.
Dave returns after a successful year-long run at K-EARTH in Los Angeles where he assisted in guiding the station to a music position very similar to MAX.
He is well-known to the San Diego market, great with clients and events, and will be my partner in taking MAX to, well…the MAX!
Dave’s first day will be Monday, October 13th.
I’d personally like to thank Jay Coffey, who has done a great job over the past 12 months. I know you’ll join me in wishing Jay the very best in his future endeavors.
I am also very pleased to announce the appointment of Sergio Hernandez to BCA as Promotion / Marketing Director for The Mighty 1090 / 105.7 MAX-FM / and ESPN 1700.
Sergio is also no stranger to many folks here –he was the Promotion Director for Clear Channel in San Diego for a number of years. He’s most recently been the manager of manager of recruiting and marketing for The California National Guard,
Sergio is an experienced, take-charge, promotional warrior and I am confident in his ability to assist he will both sales and programming to develop and execute the sort of “next level” multi-platform marketing campaigns, promotions and NTR events that represent the cornerstone of our strategic vision for the BCA brands.
Sergio’s official start-date is yet to be finalized, pending his separation from the National Guard, but we plan to have him here full-time within the next 3-weeks.
In the interim, the promotions department is under the very capable guidance of Ian Holmes, who has done an outstanding job of stepping up and handling a multitude of duties.
The addition of these two solid pros further demonstrates BCA’s commitment to winning.
Please make ‘em both feel welcome.
