I love most 80s music and had a blast this summer seeing so many of my favorite artists in concerts, including The FIXX, Huey Lewis and the News, Pat Benatar, Rick Springfield, and Def Leppard!  Current favorite artist would have to be Katy Perry-- she's a doll!

DSC 25th Celebration

By Joe Nelson
Last night Jack FM hosted approximately 250 listeners to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw Show. The private, invite only event was held at Vintana, a restaurant located on the Penthouse floor of Lexus Escondido.
The night started off with drinks and appetizers followed by the introduction of the DSC to the stage. The roast masters were resident DSC cook and TV host Sam the Cooking Guy and comedian Mal Hall.
After the great round of good natured barbs thrown at the morning show, there was a terrific video displayed, messages from those who could not be in attendance. Most notably two former members of the show, Bromo Abromowitz and Elaina Dore Smith.

After the roast, music group O A R performed, then followed by a surprise performance by local band Switchfoot.

There was a meet and greet complete with red carpet, including a chance to have a rare photo-op with the whole team.
The event was top notch and certainly fitting for a morn…

The idea of re branding was to bring ‘Maximum’ music, ‘Maximum’ variety, ‘Maximum’ fun and ‘Maximum’ audience. “It’s an exciting time for us at BCA Radio as we unveil our new logo and re branded name and the final evolution of our musical recipe,” Mike Shepard, Programming-Operations Manager explained. Shepard continues, “The Classic Hits format has evolved over the years from 60s-70s to 70s-80s. Based on extensive market research in San Diego, we saw a demand for a fun, upbeat station focused on the biggest hits from the late 70s all the way through the early 90s, ‘songs that make you feel good!’” “W…
