VALENTINE’S DAY GOING TO THE DOGS AT KIFM
By Joe Nelson
San Diego, CA- During a time that is ripe with Valentine’s Day events, KIFM, Easy 98.1 FM is going to the dogs. To kick off the month of love, the station, San Diego’s home for Relaxing and Refreshing music for your workday, has enlisted the help of the community to help find love for a very special member of the KIFM staff- traffic reporter Kelly Danek’s dog Griffin. The promotion, titled ‘Puppy Love’ encourages listeners to visit Griffin’s very own ‘puppy-dating site’ on www.easy981.com to watch his video and submit photos of their own pets, for a chance to become one of a handful of finalists vying for the top spot and a romantic getaway to Palm Springs (the two legged variety).
Once entries have been received, finalists will be chosen and the public will vote online for their favorite. The grand prize winner will receive a Valentine’s getaway to Riviera Palm Springs complete with a romantic dinner for two at Circa 59, recipient of Wine Spectator Magazine’s Award of Excellence four years running and a premium puppy basket for the winning pet.
“Every station is usually talking vows, Singles Parties or Exes around Valentine’s Day but instead of going the traditional route, this year we wanted to try something new, fun and different,” said Easy 98.1 Promotions Director Erika De La Cruz “A Puppy-Dating Site! The entries from the San Diego community have been so playful, it’s great!”For media inquires please contact Erika De La Cruz at 619-718-7129 or Erika.firstname.lastname@example.org
