Over the past few years, CCM+E has undergone some important changes that have helped to strengthen our stations, platforms and product offerings. At the same time, we continue to evolve and transform our structures and teams, opening up even more opportunities for our company’s growth. 

That constant evolution in pursuit of new and great successes leads us to today’s announcement of yet another important strategic initiative -- creating a networks group which can harness the combined power of our existing networks to make each stronger and to give us an unparalleled base to create more networks. 

The foundation pillars of the new group will include: 

·        Premiere Networks, the number one audio content provider in the country syndicating 90 radio programs and services to more than 5,000 radio affiliates.
·        Total Traffic + Weather Network, which reaches as many people as a broadcast TV network does in the U.S. With a monthly reach of 190 P12+ and over 3,000 radio and 200 television affiliates plus automotive, navigation, internet, mobile and government partners, Total Traffic + Weather Network operates the largest private data gathering network in the United States, Canada and Mexico. 
·        24/7 News Network, our 365 days a year news operation, which provides CCM+E stations and existing TT+WN affiliates with news broadcasts and audio, along with text and digital news products.
·        The iHeartRadio Network, focusing on all the digital music programming, curation, affiliate relations and marketing strategies for our service. iHeartRadio reached its first 20 million registered users faster than any digital service in Internet history and is one of the most successful digital services of all time with more than 300 million app downloads.  

This unified organization will be led by Darren Davis, who was named today as our new President, Clear Channel Networks Group. 
With the creative strengths of all our content and products -- supported by our National Programming Platforms, National Sales, Marketing and Partnerships and Digital groups—we have an amazing array of assets that we can share with our affiliates, advertisers, partners and consumers.

Our continued success is a direct result of our people.  As we evolve, opportunities for further collaboration and growth continue to flourish for our high performers — and Darren Davis is an excellent example. I am excited that someone who has spent almost his entire career with Clear Channel has risen through the organization to lead this important new group. It is a visible example of the quality of people who have built their careers at Clear Channel, and the growth opportunities this company has for every employee regardless of how or where they joined the company.

Darren began his career with Clear Channel as an intern for WASH – FM in Washington, D.C. and went on to be the overnight jock, rising to program director at the station.   He then served as a Regional Vice President of Programming for Clear Channel Detroit and Chicago, eventually becoming Senior Vice President of Programming before being named as Executive Vice President and General Manager of National Programming Platforms.  He built and managed Premium Choice and worked closely with Tom Poleman to develop the NPP division into the organization it is today. 

Darren is a great leader and collaborator – understanding both the creative side of the business as well as sales and partnerships. He respects everyone, communicates clearly, moves with a great sense of urgency and purpose, coaches people to new levels of success and teaches them to collaborate well and is committed to winning. He is the perfect leader for this new role. 

Darren will oversee and ensure the success and close integration of our Networks with the support of Brian Lakamp and the Digital team, Tim Castelli and the NSMP group and Tom Poleman and NPP. Additionally, Julie Talbott is being promoted to President of Premiere Networks, reporting to Darren, adding her amazing expertise and insights to this new organization.  The Clear Channel National Sales, Marketing and Partnerships group will continue to handle advertising sales for Premiere Networks within the strategy set by Premiere Management.

I am extremely pleased that we have the ability to recognize one of our own in this way —an employee who has worked his way through the ranks of our company and taken advantage of the opportunities here to grow professionally within Clear Channel.  I am certain our Networks will rise to even greater heights under this new team.  Please join me in congratulating Darren on his exciting new role as President, Clear Channel Networks Group.
