KSON's Country Cares Radiothon Wrap-Up

By Joe Nelson

KSON's 26th Annual "Country Cares for St. Jude Kids" Radiothon is history, raising a total of $204,034 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The two-day Radiothon concluded Friday, December 6 at 7pm, and was broadcast live on KSON-FM 97.3 and 92.1 in North County, hosted by KSON's John & Tammy in the Morning.

During the Radiothon, John & Tammy made a promise to get mohawks if they exceeded a fundraising goal on Friday evening.  As the picture demonstrates, the goal was matched, and John and Tammy are now sporting matching mohawks!  The fundraising goal assured a donation match by Radiothon Tote Board Sponsor, Big Box Storage.

With 2013's success, the KSON Radiothon total over 26 years is now in excess of Ten Million Dollars raised for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!

Fox 5 San Diego's Juliette Vara was on hand for the Final Tote and to capture the duo receiving their mohawks.
