Steven Woods' Contract Extended

By Joe Nelson

FM 94/9 morning show host Steven Woods is sticking around a while longer.
In an exclusive interview today with SanDiegoRadio, Woods tells me he has had his contract extended for two more years. This coming at the end of a one year deal.
Steve tells me "I'm thrilled to remain a part of the best radio station and family in San Diego. I could not be more proud of the accomplishments and strides our station has made in the last year, and I'm so honored to be a part of its future. It was the easiest decision I've ever made. Our staff and our listeners are second to none and make it so much fun to work here. Still the luckiest guy in the world."
Editor's note: I think it takes more than luck to make things like this happen. Woods is one of the hardest workers in radio in San Diego. Everyone knows how hard he has fought to get to where he is and what he has had to endure and overcome. Plus his efforts to find homes for pets in need, fundraisers such as the upcoming 'Can Diego' event at Dave & Buster's. He is also a huge proponent of local musical artists trying to make their name and be heard.
Congratulations Woods.

Thanks for tuning in to SanDiegoRadio
