AJ at 2012's Kids Crane

November 8, 2013 San Diego, CA – AJ’s Kids Crane – The annual toy drive from ENERGY 103.7 personalities AJ Machado and Hula Ramos began this morning in the IKEA parking lot located at 2149 Fenton Parkway in Mission Valley.  AJ takes toy drives to a new height as he lives atop a 30-foot structure until the goal of 100,000+ toys is reached.  San Diegans will be encouraged to donate a new, unwrapped toy for Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego in exchange for various prizes and/or activities each day at the 12th Annual AJ’s Kids Crane.  First come, first served, one ticket (or entry), per person, must be present, per new toy donated.  New this year, Sycuan Casino 30-minute Power Surges where prizes will be available for thirty-minute intervals throughout the day.  We would also like to thank Pacific Marine Credit Union and MoneyTree for their support of AJ’s Kids Crane. Friday, November 8th:
At 8:10am, AJ was lifted onto the Kid’s Crane!  
5pm-7pm:  O’s American Kitchen with prize wheel, Jamba Juice has smoothie samples while supplies last, Chuao Chocolatier providing free samples while supplies last, Little Red Fire Truck. 6pm-8pm dance troops performances; Disney on Ice: presents Rockin’ Ever After tickets.
Saturday, November 9th:
Mommy & Me Morning happens from 9am-2pm and includes the AJ’s Kids Walk led by Stroller Strides & Fit 4 Moms, hairdos by Kelly Cardenas Salon, massages by Holistic Hands, dance classes by Total Women’s Gym.  Kidventures to provide kid activities.  From 11a-2pm San Diego Zoo or San Diego Zoo Safari Park tickets and the return appearance by Robert the Zebra and a very special animal presentation.  5pm-7pm:  Donate a toy and receive a Hornblower Cruises & Events Whale Watching Pass.  7pm-8pm pick up a Hazard Center DigiPlex Movie Pass. 8pm-10pm Toyota San Diego presents AJ’s Kids Crane Movie Night featuring Hotel Transylvania.  IKEA will have free movie snacks before the screening while supplies last! 
Sunday, November 10th:
AJ’s Kids Crane Tailgate BBQ.  Stop by for delicious chipotle bbq wings and beer boiled brats courtesy of Eastbound Bar & Grill.  10am-2pm will feature on site haircuts and Mohawk styles by Sports Clips Mission Valley, San Diego Pad Squad, San Diego Sockers Girls and Total Paintball Shooting Range.  From5pm-8pm DJ Rage spins live and guests who donate a toy receive a ticket to the ENERGY 103.7 SeaWorld Christmas Celebration on Friday, December 13th.  

Monday, November 11th

The Taste of the Crane from 6-8pm hosted by Sam the Cooking Guy.  Donate a toy to enjoy tastes from thirteen local favorites: Café Japengo, Luna Grill, Barleymash, Uptown Tavern, Fig Tree Café, Hornblower Cruises & Event, West Coast Tavern, Crossroads @House of Blues, Slater’s 50/50, Duck Dive, Crush, Nothing Bundt Cakes and West Coast Tavern.  Mad House Comedy Club will also provide entertainment by Erik Knowles and Jesse Egan at 6pm.
Tuesday, November 12th:
Donate a toy to receive a LEGOLAND child’s hopper ticket, enjoy a Princess Tea Party inside the IKEA cafeteria, Gamez on Wheelz truck and a laser tag course. Coffee and hot chocolate provided by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
Wednesday, November 13th:
AJ’s Kids Crane Luau Night:  Live music by Ben Benevente, Stateside Band and Leiisa, Hawaiian dancers along with plenty of festive food.  Jersey Mike’s Subs will be on hand giving away Sub Cards from 11am to 2pm.
Thursday, November 14th:
Food Truck Round Up:  donate a toy and receive a raffle ticket to win prizes.  Each $10 purchase increases chances in the opportunity drawing.  Mad House Comedy Club comedians, Erik Knowles and Jesse Egan perform.

Friday, November 15th:
We hope the goal of 100,000 toys will be reached!  Stay tuned for more details…
