Mountain Country Adds Another to its Lineup

   Alpine's Mountain Country, 107.9 has added Fox 5's Anchor and reporter Juliette Vara to the line-up for her show 'Countdown with Juliette Vara'
   Juliette will play the top 20 country songs on the charts as well as spreading the latest news in country western music.

A Rich Brothers Thanksgiving! For The Record...

   Happy Thanksgiving and Hanukkah SanDiegoRadio readers! Today I open my new album I bought off EBay. From B-100,The Rich Brothers' "Funny Song Album". Featuring Bobby Rich, Frank Anthony, Pat Gaffey and the late Scott Kenyon.



 Bobby is currently in Tucson heading up the successful morning show 'The Bobby Rich Morning Show' and can be found HERE. Bobby was recently honored by Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild by having November 8, 2013 proclaimed as "Bobby Rich Day". Bobby also runs the online radio station Bobby's B-100

   Pat Gaffey is Senior Director of communications at Pfizer.

   Frank Anthony is at Walrus  FM handling multiple duties as well as on air personality, Frank is also the Public Address Announcer at Petco Park for the Padres.

   Scott Kenyon sadly passed away in 2011. The four were certainly beloved by San Diego and incredibly talented!


2013 Mother Goose Parade

   San Diego Radio was well represented again at the 67th Annual Mother Goose Parade in El Cajon. Highlighted by the legend Shotgun Tom Kelly serving as Grand Marshal.
   The Mother Goose Parade is the largest parade in San Diego County, and is also the largest of its type west of the Mississippi. This year the parade boasted over 200 entries and featured TV and movie celebrities, marching bands, clowns and radio personalities. SanDiegoRadio was on hand for the event and even spent time aboard the 101.5 KGB bus.

FM 94/9 Honors Pearl Jam with Complete Takeover

FM 94/9 celebrates the return of Pearl Jam to SDSU's Viejas Arena with a complete takeover of the radio station! Sets of Pearl Jam songs are being played every hour, FM 94/9 listener Coury Miller's Ultimate Pearl Jam 10 song Playlist will be played on air after the concert ends, and a complete web and social media takeover is in full effect today as FM 94/9 pays homage to one of the most important bands of the past two decades. Upgrades Announced for The Home Pro Show on KOGO

San Diego, CA-“The Home Pro Show” was announced as the new name of the show that has aired over
the past year as My Home Improvement. The announcement was made live on-air by host Clint August
and show owners Sean and Heather Johnson. The Home Pro Show airs from 9AM-10AM on Saturday

FM 94/9's CAN DIEGO - A Smashing Success!!!

November 19, 2013 (San Diego, CA) -The FM 94/9 crew, led by morning drive host, Steven "Woodsy" Woods took to the parking lot of Dave and Buster's in Mission Valley for their annual 28.5 hour canned food drive, CAN Diego, presented by Big Box Storage and powered by Car2Go.
Thanks to their faithful and diligent listeners, FM 94/9 was able to surpass 2012's total of 3,400 pounds of non-perishable food items by almost 2000 pounds.  Their final pound total was over 5,000 pounds of canned food and non -perishables, all donated to the San Diego Food Bank.  This food will help the San Diego Food Bank feed over one million hungry San Diegans.

Charity Auction Winner and Guests Tour 1090 Studios

   This afternoon, an avid 1090 listener and almost a dozen guests of his were treated to a tour of The Mighty 1090/Walrus studios, a chance to sit in studio with Scott Kaplan and Billy Ray Smith and watch them do their show, then feast on a delicious catered meal provided by Hungry Bear Sub Shop.

   Carl Starrett bid on and won the station tour in an auction put together by the Helen Woodward Animal Center. Starrett's former boss was a long time member of the board for the center. Starrett is very involved in the telethons which are televised on KUSI. Carl owns a construction company, Starrett Construction and has overseen countless projects through the years.
